The Italian lighting association AIDI in announcing the XXI. of the national congress “Past/Future. The influence of light on changing lifestyles”, which will take place in Bologna on 24 and 25 June 2024, invites lighting professionals: architects, engineers, planners, lighting designers, interior designers, industrial designers, public authorities , businesses, investors, public services, research centers, universities and all those interested in exploring the new frontiers of lighting participate in the congress by presenting a “memories” referring to the themes of the works.
New Internet of Things (IoT) technologies, artificial intelligence and design thinking are radically changing the approach to designing environments, both indoor and outdoor, and the urban context is also rapidly evolving towards a digital paradigm.
Light is increasingly part of the ever-evolving panorama. In this scenario, there is a growing need for companies, professionals and investors to design ever more efficient, flexible, dynamic and high-quality light that can translate not only to the greater well-being of the individual, but also to the ecosystem that supports and surrounds him, both socially, culturally and technologically .
The Congress will have four broad themes: Light and Nature; Light and cultural heritage; Light and the City; Light and health, with the aim of exploring highly topical cross-cutting topics within each such as: innovation, AI, visual comfort.
Authors are encouraged to submit an extended abstract that clearly describes the paper they intend to present. The text must be in Word format and written according to the details given in the “extended template abstract” (at the link below); documents must be sent by January 31, 2024 to the AIDI Secretariat. The scientific committee will proceed anonymously in the selection of extended abstracts.
